Orientation & Onboarding for Acquisitions

Step 1: Onboarding

We need your help with these things so you can start working.

Take 2 photos with a cell phone or camera

Because onboarding activities are happening remotely, we need your help to make sure you get a new ID badge.

How to select a background for the photos:

  • Try to find a solid blue background
If you’re a contract, contingent, temporary, per diem, or traveling worker – try to find a solid red background
  • If you can't find a blue or red background, or don’t have one, please use a solid white background.

Photo 1: A picture of you with identification

  • Stand in front of background
  • Hold any current photo ID close to your face and take a close-up picture. This can be a ‘selfie’ because it’s just so we can confirm your identity.

Photo 2: Picture for ID badge

  • Stand in front of background
  • Make sure the bottom of the image is at your shoulders and the top of the image is just above your head.

Your manager will tell you how to get your ID badge during your first week of work.

Step 2: Remote Orientation

Next, you need to attend orientation on your first day of work

How to Prepare for Orientation

With remote orientation, you will complete required training on your first day of work by accessing our online learning platform from your computer, tablet or smartphone. On your assigned orientation day, you will complete your entire first day of work away from work to protect your safety.

  • Make plans for a successful day: Find a quiet space free from distractions where you can do your learning assignments.
  • Make sure you have the employee identification number sent in an email from Hartford HealthCare Human Resources.

How to Login for Orientation

Employee Identification Number
Make sure you have the employee identification number sent in an email from Hartford HealthCare Human Resources before you were scheduled for remote orientation.

If you can’t find it, you can access it through your new hire portal here. You can also contact your recruiter or the Employee Service Center at 860.696.3500; tell them your name and that you can’t find your employee ID number.
