This physician is absolutely horrible. No bedside manner. Complete failure to do his job. Completely ignorant of facts, unwilling to even speak to other current physicians. Completely dismisses medical history as a psychiatric issue.

Edited to update on his colleague. Dr. Hosmer isn't any better. I strongly believe they only care about elderly cancer patients and no one else! Dr Hosmer repeated the same treatment that Dr Byeff did. He too is not willing to run tests to figure out why treatment isn't working for me. I'm happy to have been referred to a Yale hematologist and won't be dealing with this clinic anymore. Dr. Byeff has poor beside manners! He has demonstrated both times that I have met with him., that he doesn't care about me as a patient. He has spent no more than 2 minutes with me and refuses to answer any blood related questions that I have. I suffered a medical emergency, which required 6 days of hospitalization. My blood test #s were all over the place. I wanted to ask him some questions in regards to some of my concerns, and to figure out if it plays a role in the condition he's treating me for and he rudely told me that he's not treating me for anything else but for what he's currently treating me for and that's all, for me not to ask him anything, any questions that I have in regards to my blood tests to go ahead and ask the hospital Drs that ordered them while I was hospitalized. He treated me with no respect or compassion whatsoever. I switched to a different provider within the clinic and am hoping he'll get to the bottom of what is happening with my blood. I hope you have a better experience with Dr. Byeff than I did.

I have been struggling with chronic iron deficiency for years, and it has been an incredibly difficult journey. Although we got off to a bit of a rocky start, this doctor and his team truly stepped up and took my condition seriously. They acted quickly to put a treatment plan in place and help me move forward with the care I needed. I am extremely grateful to the doctor and his staff for their responsiveness, compassion, and commitment to helping me get my health back on track.

It is VERY refreshing to find yet another Doctor with a Strong ABILITY TO THINK and act 'in MY BEST INTEREST'. I am grateful Doctor BYEFF is part of HARTFORD HEALTHCARE and count on his expertise going forward! Big thanks to him and his GREAT STAFF as well. This was posted by: Henry J Lenkiewicz THREE MONTHS later and I remain under constant treatment by Dr. Peter Byeff for a lengthy condition for which he is VERY WELL at the HELM along with a great team HE has assembled for my full anticipated recovery. NO SUBSTITUTE for the VAST EXPERIENCE I am the recipient of! Now, 5/27/2022, adds a couple more months under Dr. PETER BYEFF'S more than CAPABLE 'DOCTOR' hands with strong signs of POSITIVE results.with the many twists, turns, variables & tangents as would NAVY SEALS, ARMY RANGERS or SPECIAL FORCES (all in one PETER BYEFF, MD) along with his very capable staff to include EVERY NURSE operating under his direction and his extremely capable administrative assistant, Anna! HARTFORD HEALTHCARE is FORTUNATE to have such a Medical group to meet (exceed) all challenges! Thank you to ALL! Very thankful I am doing well with the GREAT CARE, concern & direction of Dr. PERTER BYEFF & his TEAM along with all the ONCOLOGY NURSES who never miss a beat. Yeah it's THANKSGIVING 2024 and I post to give thanks to all who have (genuinely) cared for me! GOD bless all! HJL JANUARY 2025 WELL, let's start another year off perfectly and that is my fortunate successful continuation with DOCTOR PETER D BYEFF through all phases of treatment for which I am forever grateful. His abilities are second to NONE! DR PETER D BYEFF stands among the ranks of the VERY BEST - Front Row! Henry Lenkiewicz

Dr. Byeff has the most off putting bedside manner. I’ve had ongoing issues for years with my blood disorder, and I’ve never had a doctor make me feel like I don’t matter. I’m just a number on a clip board. Waiting over an hour to be talked over and bullied into what he says. This doctor comes in their room and says hi. How are you and doesn’t even wait for a response from me. Every visit I’ve had I spend a grand total of two minutes with Dr. Byeff after waiting on average an hour to be seen. He may have been a good Dr at one point, but now… Dr. Byeff needs to retire. I’m Highly offended. He made me cry and didn’t care. Delivering bad medical News nonchalantly. There’s no compassion in his cold eyes. The God Complex on his shoulders is amazing. As I left his office today, I saw him greet a new patient, and I grimace thinking of the frustration and trouble they are about to go through… Dr. Byeff, do your patients a favor and retire. Your bedside manner is the worst I’ve ever seen.
