Dr. Pamela Shuman is the Associate Medical Director for Ambulatory Programs who oversees Joshua Centers Northeast, Thames Valley and Enfield; Young Adult and Adult Programs at Rivereast and Quinebaug. She is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who came to Natchaug in September of 2009 from Gateway Healthcare in Pawtucket, R.I. where she served as a Psychiatrist on a Child and Adolescent Intensive Treatment Team. Dr. Shuman also held numerous psychiatric consulting positions for a number of group homes, schools, and mental health centers. Dr. Shuman completed both her Bachelor’s Degree and Medical Doctorate at Brown University. She also did her psychiatric residency at Brown and served as Chief Resident, and completed a fellowship in child psychiatry.
